Receptome is incorporated as a LLC in Delaware with operations in San Diego. Since its inception in 2012, the Company has been supported by a dedicated group of angel investors. Partnerships with Pharma and Biotechs are being pursued to help develop the uses of the technology. Receptome is also seeking first round funding from institutional investors.
Receptome fuses the N-terminus of LMP1, a naturally clustering membrane protein, with receptor signaling domains. The ensuing clustering of the receptor domains allows for constitutive activation of selected receptors without requiring an extracellular ligand or agonistic antibody. The ARC-receptor coding sequence can be included in viral vectors or used as part of an RNA or DNA vaccine.
